LJ weirdness

So LJ keeps insisting that I have one new message in my inbox, but...I don't? I have checked and rechecked, and marked everything as read, and reloaded the page, and each time it keeps giving me that bright orange dot (or the blue envelope, depending on my view).

So if by any chance you have sent me a message in the last hour or so and I haven't replied, it's not because I'm being rude, I promise. Either there's really a message there that I can't see (and I checked the spam folder too, JIC) or livejournal can't understand when I tell it I've 'read' something.

If you know how to fix this, let me know!

I've had that happen a few times and usually the message/comment etc. shows up within a few hours. No clue why. SO annoying!

When that happens to me, I check the "suspicious messages" tab. They don't show a count beside the link, they don't show in the main inbox, but they cause the inbox to register a new message.

Annoying you have to manually check (that it doesn't include a count) but idk

I don't know. I'm an old enough lj vet that I've circled back around to "don't know what I'm doing since they stopped using S1"

I just don't have comments go to my inbox (they go to my mail) unless I'm tracking something not on my personal journal/comm/posts- stuff like fest fics or Accio searches.

LJ is strange. It does thing like that. Sometimes it's ages until I'm notified of a message, sometimes it says it's there before I see it on my inbox. *shakes head*

It's been doing that to me as well! Almost drove me spare, I'm far too OCD to constantly have an unread message. And live with it! God D:
