Alekina art for iPhone & iPad

Just FYI, Alekina is now selling prints and iPhone & iPod cases of their artwork at society6.



Someone else had apparently been selling unauthorized versions of this without Alekina's knowledge, which is what prompted the decision to offer these officially now:

Cool, huh? I don't own an iPhone/Pad, but if I did, you can bet I'd be getting one of these :) There are framed and unframed prints available too.

On the other hand, I really hope she'll get the money that somebody earned with the unofficial selling of her art? That sounds like a rude violation of copyright things, and I hope she can do something against it?

Oh I agree. From things posted in the past, I get the sense that they're not interested in taking legal action - that it's too exhausting to contemplate or something, which I actually get.

Although now when went back and re-read that post, I realize that they feel differently about it when someone is actually making a profit from it rather than just reposting. So I dunno. I hope there's something that can be done.

Yeah, like it says in the tags... Well, I think it's probably a huge help if people reblog this and post this on their LJ like you do, because I think we all here want the artist to get the money, now we know she sells these things.

Gah, it can make me so angry, what the hell are you thinking when you just snatch a piece of art like that and start making a profit out of it, without even asking permission! And if you look around on her tumblr for 2 seconds, you can see she really needs the money.. Blargh.
