Mini-theme: What do you say after a One-Night Stand?

One of my favorite themes is exploring the awkwardness after a one-night stand, or what everyone thought would be a one-night stand but now hopes will turn out to be more, if they can just get past the awkwardness of it all :) Here are a few Drarry fics that do a great job with this theme.

Summary: A game of truth or dare.

Harry and Draco have just had an unexpected bout of sex after meeting each other at a party and now...what do they say to each other? Should they make small talk, attempt to talk about their issues, or just part ways? The way the conversation plays out here is so perfectly hesistant: revealing and unsure, illustrating how vulnerable and guarded they both are. Oh and there's a bit of truth-or-dare in here too, which is always a plus.

So well done. Funny and clever and pretty hot, even though most of the sex is implied rather than shown. I like the directness of their post-coital conversation.

Super enjoyable. Perfectly awkward conversation and they both feel in character. And very funny, and with a pleasing ending. Win!

Really cute and hot. Draco agonizes about how to word an appropriate 'thank-you' note to Harry, and Harry replies too hastily.

Thank you so much for reccing 'Morning After'! I've been getting more hits on it and wondered where they were coming from! And yes, I did a total cheat on the sex scene - this was written a while back and I still was really uncomfortable with how to write one. -- and I still dread writing them but at least I now know more about how to do it, lol.
