He wants to laugh at the irony, he really does, as he lets Potter brand his arm and override the dark mark with a new one.

As I said when I first posted it, it was not based on any existing fanfic. So vaysh and raitala created the flash fest to encourage writers to produce new fanfics based on this artwork...and it worked! Yay! Here's hoping there will be some great fics I can add to my Dark Mark removal fic rec list. The world needs more fics about this!
