Romione fest on Tumblr

One of the tumblr blogs I follow is running a "RomioneSmut FuckFest". I've never seen a tumblr fic fest before, so I'm very curious to see how this goes.

All the fics went live today. By design, they're all less than 2000 words, and all rated NC-17. They have 39 fics in the fest, which seems pretty good to me for that ship (though I don't follow that ship as closely as I do Drarry).

I'm not sure that tumblr is really the best place for a fic fest, but maybe it's the wave of the future? I dunno! Anyone ever seen a fic fest on tumblr before?

Interesting! I haven't seen many HP fests on tumblr, but quite a few of the other fandoms I follow have tumblr fests. I know Stony in The Avengers fandom has a few, and same with several Teen Wolf pairings.

I personally, am not a fan of fic on tumblr. I think it's a pain in the butt to read, and terrible for linking purposes. But for tumblr-based fandoms, I guess it makes sense to host there.

Yeah, I would think that tumblr would be a mess for fests, but I'm somewhat old-school :)

I mean, I could see using tumblr as an advertising vehicle, but posting the fics on AO3 for real. That's what a lot of LJ fests do these days anyway. But posting the fics on tumblr and not AO3 is odd to me.

Wow very interesting. I'm thinking it might be the wave of the future, yes. Thanks for sharing with us, I would like to see how it runs and how the commenting goes. Are the fics posted on AO3 or directly to tumblr?

I have noticed that RHr is a huge tumblr ship :)

So far as I can tell, they're on tumblr and not AO3, which I find weird, but whatever.

But I do find it fascinating how active RHr seems to be on tumblr as opposed to LJ. Drarry is active both places, and I don't know about other HP ships. Strange how it divides up!

It looks liek they are simply posting the fics but no one can comment yet. Which is strange for me coming from LJ but *shrug*. I suppose tumblr is its own thing.

I hope if fests happy at tumblr... like, the fics reach us via AO3 or a kind soul thinks to make a lj community for us to follow. I'm all for sharing. :D

Me too! I hope the fics find their way to AO3 eventually. I will read some on tumblr, but it's not my preferred platform :)
