(I'm going to be posting a rectober wrap-up post in just a little bit too.)
Time-traveler!Harry
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Summary: It's the middle of the night and Harry Potter is sitting on my bed looking distinctly weird. I've had some fucked-up dreams in my time, but this takes the biscuit.
(Harry travels back in time; age disparity)
This has everything I love in it - 8th year, loss of virginity, first times, awkward confessions, time travel, dominance, and sex with feels. JFC this fic is hot!
And the premise is so original. future!Harry has traveled back in time to visit Draco on the eve of his 19th birthday and reassure him that even though his life sucks right now, it's all going to get so much better.
Draco and Harry are not yet together yet in the past, and indeed are still glaring at each other in the Great Hall at mealtimes. So Draco is of course quite taken aback by this encounter. But also maybe a little turned on too :) And of course Harry is turned on as well, and it all goes quite a bit further than maybe Harry thought it would.
They're both so perfectly in character and the dialogue is just so revealing of who they both are. As Draco so succinctly puts it, “Fuck, Potter, did you turn up simply to remind me how crap my life is?”

Summary: During a routine clearing of an old Death Eater house, Harry stumbles over an ancient spell that sends him somewhere completely different. He has to work out where he is and how to get back. Or if he even wants to.
(Harry travels forward in time)
Oh, this was really nice. Told very well, and with just enough detail to make you care for these characters - even though it's a short story it feels complete. Harry's reactions to waking in an alternate reality are funny but also somewhat reasonable. He doesn't go off all half-cocked and act like a doofus. And it's so sweet that past!Draco had actually wanted Harry to kiss him, and his future self tells Harry this so he knows what to do when he goes back to the past. The sex scene was super hot too.
Beyond the Veil by
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Summary: During a training exercise at the Ministry, nineteen-year-old Harry falls into the veil and is assumed dead. Moments later he falls out again and into Draco's office – thirty-year-old Draco. Not wanting the Ministry to discover that the Chosen One didn't really die eleven years before and take over his life, Draco takes him home to stay until they can figure out just what happened and how to send him back. What happens when falling in love becomes the biggest complication of all?
(Harry travels forward in time; age disparity)
Another neat fic featuring an age disparity because of the time travel, with the older one trying vainly not to take advantage of the younger. The story is lovely and sexy and the whole thing is very enjoyable. I really liked the sex scenes too :)
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Summary: Harry was twenty-one the first time it happened; he was twenty-one and falling in love for the first time. It seems he'll go back, travel through time, until he finds the anchor that keeps him here.
(Harry hops through time)
I love how the conversations are written - in a very natural and awkward way which feels so realistic. And the time-traveler's wife style plot is cool. I would have liked to have seen him meet a younger school-aged Draco (like 12-13) at least once. But still, very, very, good.
Time-traveler!Draco
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Summary: Everyone knows that Draco Malfoy died in the Room of Requirement ten years ago. So when he suddenly reappears at Hogwarts ten years later, still seventeen years old, Professor Harry Potter's life gets very complicated.
(Draco travels forward in time; age disparity)
Very interesting premise, handled very well, and also hot! More age-disparity induced angsting too :) It helped that Draco was clearly interested and Harry was not the aggressor. I liked that the new world order was more accepting of gays and that this was a revelation to Draco.
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Summary: Fairy tales may soothe small children into slumber, but some stories themselves refuse to sleep. The Tale of Three Brothers, retold.
(Draco travels back in time)
Very inventive and very well told. Draco travels back in time to fix mistakes in the past. Some parts in the beginning feel somewhat dark, but it makes the need for Draco to fix things that much more acute. There's humor mixed in as well - Draco's exasperation with Harry in the beginning was hilarious. I just wish we could have seen a bit more of how he and Harry would get together again.
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Summary: The new world order hasn't been kind to Draco and his family, and he wishes it could all be different. So does Harry, although not for the same reasons. But as Draco works to fix the mistakes he made in the past, he finds his reasons for doing so changing in a way he never expected.
(Draco travels back in time)
Such an interesting well told story. I especially loved the introductory part, when it was still the original timeline and Draco had to cope with going back to 8th year (I do so love 8th year!) There's a lovely companion piece to this as well -The Secret of the Whole - where we get to see more of the story in the final timeline.
