HD-Erised 2016: Veterans and Newcomers

As I was looking over the anonymous masterlist for this year's hd_erised fest, I was struck by how many veterans of the HD fandom were still creating fanworks for the fest, even as many newcomers are joining for the first time. I think this speaks to how popular HD fandom has been and still remains!

So everyone can see what I mean, I've organized this year's participants into a table sorted by the year they first published an HD fic or artwork, so far as I know*

Holy crap!
This is so interesting! When I first posted that fic (and I now cringe thinking about how bad it is!), I never thought I'd be on a list with some of the people I'd been following myself!

And I wouldn't cringe too hard - no one's first fic is a masterpiece (unless you're JK Rowling, I guess!) It wasn't my intention to make anyone self-conscious - I'm honestly just really fascinated to see how long some people have been writing, and how broad a range of years/authors the hd_erised fest encompasses :)
